About 8 years ago, we had some friends over to celebrate my son's birthday. It was an amazing day of food, fellowship, friends, and family. We were able to attend church, hear an awesome message from the Lord, come home, BBQ, play, and have a great afternoon.

A true biblical marriage is one that points others to Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for the church to bring us to unity, sanctification, and ultimate glory.

Faith, Commitment, and Motivation. In short, marriage takes all three. It takes a tremendous amount of faith to entrust yourself to the same person for the rest of your life.

There is a word that we need to become extremely familiar with if we are a follower of Jesus Christ: Service.

As I look forward to Christmas with my family, I can honestly say that once again, the Lord has taught me so much this past year!

I love the vision of this concept! Growing up in the church, this had been my thought process about Christianity. Throughout junior high and high school, this is how I spent my life.

Lying. Manipulation. Deception. Theft. Cheating. Forgery. Explicit imagery... Needless to say, I've had a pretty eventful couple of weeks at school.

There is a world of difference between having faith, and living faith. We are currently a "church-in-a-box". A mobile church that is using a golf course's event tent as our sanctuary, having to use their folding chairs.

Even though we are without a doubt one of the greatest nations on the planet, we portray the greatest sense of self-centeredness to all those on the outside looking in.

This time of year always brings me a sense of love, pride, thankfulness, and humility. I always make sure to spend time remembering and thanking the Lord for all that He has done for me in the past year.

This past Sunday, I challenged the church to rest in God's Word. Not to answer any specific question(s), just to be still in the presence of God and listen to his voice through His Word.

Commitment is easy. Committing to the right thing is the difficult task.

What motivates you to do the things you do? The motivation to do something long term is difficult due to the circumstance, feeling, or other "force" that inspired the motivation is long gone.

Out of our foolishness, we wander away. Because of carelessness, we become misplaced.

This world is what you know. It’s what you can see, hear, and touch. So it is very natural to love this world we live in.
