“He has overcome” (1 John 5)

In conclusion to John's first letter to the church, he reminds us all that we are to be obedient to God's commandments. Which begs the question, "Which ones are we to obey?? There are so many!" Jesus breaks it down very simply for us to understand. He tells us that we are to love God, and love others. Every other law which we are to obey hinges on those two.

Whatever we do in life, those two commandments ought to dictate our thoughts, actions, prayers, and relationships with others. Those commandments keep us accountable to who God has made us to be. Let nothing stand in the way of our intimate fellowship with our heavenly Father!
