In this final chapter of 1 Peter, he encourages the whole church by encouraging the elders of the church. God has given His church elders, pastors, and shepherds to willingly and eagerly serve His people. Elders are to be an example to those in the church how to pursue Christ and grow in faith in this world. We are all encouraged to maintain a posture of humility in this world. The devil will constantly seek ways to distract and discourage us from living out our hope in Christ.
