What is a Christian? (Acts 11)

Word has spread to the church in Jerusalem that Gentiles were baptized by the Holy Spirit. Peter travels back to give an account of what happened, which clearly demonstrates that salvation provided through faith in Jesus is available to everyone! The extended church is now living on mission. More and more are sharing their faith and the gospel with both Jews and Gentiles alike. The church in Antioch (3rd most populous city in the Roman empire) begins to take shape.

What we learn from chapter 11 is what it looks and sounds like to be a Christian. The church is to live on mission, share the gospel, demonstrate grace, give willingly and generously, and identify with Christ as his representative here on earth.
