“Thanksgiving: More than a Holiday” (Philippians 4:1-9)

Pastor Ray Orozco

Thanksgiving is more than a holiday. Granted, it is a day our founding fathers set aside to emphasize the spiritual focus we should have in our lives. However, our perspective as followers of Christ should go way beyond a single day. The church, as the body of Christ, should live in constant thanksgiving for God’s mercy, grace, redemption, and salvation. There are three ways we may come to recognize our need for a Savior: 1. Through the realization of our sin.

2. Through trials or suffering.

3. A combination of the first two, leading to faith and surrender to Jesus.

Be encouraged to live a lifestyle of thanksgiving and generosity every day, and in every way through your time, talents, and treasures.
