The Gospel of Mark

Mark 5:21-43

Faith will come in different ways. For a leader in the synagogue, it came with potential prior knowledge or experience with Jesus. For an unknown woman, it came from ‘reports’ about Jesus. Regardless, in their individual circumstances, they needed a healing touch from Jesus. The Word of God tells us that faith is the assurance of things hoped for, and the conviction of things not seen. Our faith in Jesus needs to go beyond our immediate need. Our faith should be rooted in who Jesus is, whether times are good or bad.
