“Truth over Lies” (Matthew 4:1-11)

Prior to the start of His ministry, the Holy Spirit leads Jesus into the wilderness. There He is tempted by Satan in three ways: to satisfy His own desires, to test the faithfulness of God, and to remove Himself from the will of His Father. Yet, Jesus responds to each temptation with the power and truth of the Word of God.

As we identify with our Savior, He gives us the perfect example of how to deal with the temptations we face in life. It’s up to us to arm ourselves with the sword of the Spirit as we continue to walk like Jesus.
