“His name, Immanuel” (Matthew 1:18-25)

Our initial reaction to confusing circumstances is usually marked by raw emotion. It’s typical. We’re human. Mary’s reaction was confusion and fear. Joseph’s reaction was disappointment, cloaked in merciful action. Yet our humanity will only take us so far.

The birth of Jesus points us to something greater than ourselves…the incarnation of the King of kings. The grace of God is on full display in this amazing story.
