“Joy in Wisdom” (Ecclesiastes 8)

Understanding our role in God's kingdom is essential. In order to know our place under the authority of Jesus, we cannot leave His presence. We must abide in His word, understand His laws, and seek to obey them at every turn. When we do so, we don't lose our freedom under some spiritual despot. We gain freedom and joy under the loving protection of our King.

The wisdom we gain from God's word keeps us accountable. His wisdom allows us to understand that He is in control. His wisdom allows us to apply His laws to our life in what He has given to us, and what He's given us to do. The joy of the Lord is our strength.
