The Ellipsis of the church… (Acts 28)

After the shipwreck, Paul and the team take a 3 month respite on the island of Malta. Paul is able to minister to the people through service. They finally set sail and make it to Rome, and per his usual ministry routine, he meets with the Jews of the city. He presents his story, but more importantly, shares the gospel! Luke concludes by leaving us with an ellipsis (dot dot dot).

The Church is to carry on right where Paul left off. We are to carry on the great commission by loving God, loving others, and sharing the gospel. That is our purpose until Jesus returns and puts on period on human history. Until then, we "act"! Amen.
