Imprisoned, yet free
by Cameron Stevens on November 22nd, 2021
I'm not sure how many remember the story of Saeed Abedini. Pastor Saeed was arrested and imprisoned because he is a Christian. The country of Iran saw fit that he was a threat to their country because of his faith in Jesus. The man was going to open an orphanage. It's not as if he was standing on the steps of the capital with guns-a-blazin' trying to start a revolution.  Read More
Weed or Rose?
by Cameron Stevens on September 27th, 2021
You ever have one of those moments when you look at something completely different than you had the other 5,000 times you've looked at it? I was sitting at my kitchen table eating lunch gazing in to my backyard (yes, this is a picture from my backyard...enter shame here).  Read More
I don't want to, and you can't make me!
by Cameron Stevens on August 30th, 2021
You've probably heard this phrase in some form or fashion in your life, especially if you are a parent: "I don't want to! And you can't make me!" You may have even said it a time or two yourself. As adults, we may simply say "No thank you" to situations that we don't want to face or circumstances that we desire not to confront...  Read More
Are you sharing goats?
by Cameron Stevens on July 19th, 2021
I had this train of thought a long time ago when I first jumped in to the pool of social media. I looked at the pool and decided that it didn't look deep enough to drown, so I jumped into the deep end. Little did I know, that I wasn't strong enough.   Read More
Christian Contentment
by Cameron Stevens on July 12th, 2021
I had a friend back in high school say, "I'm not going to follow the Lord right now, cause I want to experience what the world has to offer and build up a good testimony." My exact words to her were, "Ummm...What the what?!?" She was telling me that she desired to live the life of the prodigal son.   Read More
Decisions, Decisions...
by Cameron Stevens on July 5th, 2021
You know the saying, "hindsight is 20/20"? There have been so many times in my life when I have looked back on particular events and have seen God's work in my life. It was so evident sometimes, I wondered why I couldn't have seen His handiwork when the event was taking place. I've been able to witness God at work in my life so clearly, it has been amazing and unsettling.  Read More

On the opposite side of the river, General Washington was at a crossroads. As was the custom of warfare in that day not to fight during the winter time. He had a decision to make. Use the dark of night, winter, and Christmas to surprise the British forces on the other side of the river, or don't. As we learn from history, we know what course he took...  Read More
The anguish of who I am
by Cameron Stevens on June 14th, 2021
I am no good. There is nothing about me that is worthy to be called a good person. I am constantly in a state of torment and anguish. This struggle will not allow my heart to settle in to peace. My mind is waging a constant war. I find myself reeling with confusion and pain at the things I've done, and those I've hurt. I'm suffocating in a cloud of anger, hostility, and guilt...  Read More
Strong and Courageous

What are you called by God to do? Call it a resolution, goal, aspiration, or whatever you want, but what is your God given purpose?  Read More
All the world's a stage
by Cameron Stevens on May 18th, 2021
We've all heard the quote before, "All the world's a stage!" What does this mean to you? Are we all actors? Some have bigger roles and are given more lines to memorize. Some may be given the role of "man in coffee shop". What is your role?  Read More
3 Strikes and You're NOT out!
by Cameron Stevens on May 10th, 2021
I got to thinking today about the concept of "3 strikes and you're out". The obvious correlation is to the game of baseball. I've heard parents employ this rule with their children..."I'm going to give you to the count of 3 young man!" Have you noticed however, that after a batter strikes out, the child is disciplined, and punishment is handed out at school, the individual gets another chance! As long as the game continues, the batter gets to try again.  Read More
Justifiable Slavery
by Cameron Stevens on January 11th, 2021
There is a word that we need to become extremely familiar with if we are a follower of Jesus Christ: Service. This has to be one of my favorite concepts when it's clearly defined as advancing the cause of Christ among men. What an amazing concept to consider, especially for those of us that live in free societies. What do we do with this paradox of being a servant or slave, and yet have been given all the freedom in the world in which to live our life?  Read More
Forward Looking Faith
by Cameron Stevens on November 30th, 2020
There is a world of difference between having faith, and living faith. We are currently a "church-in-a-box". A mobile church that is using a golf course's event tent as our sanctuary, having to use their folding chairs. As I watched people come in to church, I was looking for something specific. I watched to see how many people examined the chairs before they sat down. How many would question and test the strength of the chair that would hold them prior to sitting down? Would anyone make sure the bolts and legs were secure before easing in for the service? Interestingly enough, no one did. In a very simple way, they all had enough faith to sit in those chairs, with the expectation they would be held up for the next couple of hours.  Read More
Our Churchly Routine
by Cameron Stevens on October 26th, 2020
How many of us have been asked at one time or another in our life, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I guess I should appeal to the adult readers and ask, "What do you do for a living?" The ultimate question that we as Christians need to ask ourselves is, "Do we do church?" Do we go to church because we feel it's something to "do"? Do you go to church because you feel it is your weekly obligation to fulfill your Christian duty? Do you sit down, sing the songs, listen to the announcements, regretfully tithe your 10%, listen to the message (which may or may not make you feel better about how you lived your life during the week), say hi to someone, and then head home feeling "accomplished"?   Read More
